Workshops: $100 deposit* – Full payment due 60 days before first day of workshop

*$200 non-refundable deposit for Mary Whyte workshop Feb 2019.

ENROLLMENT: Students are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If a program is full, you may request to be added to a wait list and will be notified if a space becomes available. Prorating students may sign up 2 weeks before a class starts.

SUPPLY LISTS: Supply lists are sent with registration invoices and are posted on the Art Center Sarasota website on the class or workshop listing page. If you are unable to obtain a supply list from the website, please contact the Center and we will mail or have a copy for you to pickup at the front desk. Students are responsible for suppling and acquiring their own supplies. Camp supplies are included in the cost of the camp unless noted.

CANCELLATION OF CLASS/WORKSHOP: In the event that a program is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment or the teacher requests cancelation, all fees will be refunded, including the non-refundable deposit for students who are currently registered for the class/workshop. Be sure to provide your current contact information when registering. If we cannot reach you the funds will be left as a credit on your Art Center account for your use at a later date.

PRORATING CLASSES: Signing up for single or more than one session of a class (as opposed to the full class) is allowed in most classes at the Art Center. Students wishing to prorate a class must wait until two weeks before a class starts to request prorating. The single session fee will be higher than the equivalent fraction of the full course fee.

LIFE SESSIONS: Minimum age for participating artists is 18. ABSOLUTELY NO photography is permitted during Life Sessions.

TRANSFER TO A DIFFERENT CLASS/WORKSHOP:  No refunds will be given for transferring to another class or workshop.  A $35 administration fee will be charged.  Transfers/Changes can only occur before the last day to withdraw, see below.  If there is a difference in a class/workshop cost the difference will be paid at the time of the transfer.  If the transferred to class/workshop is less than the original class/workshop cost the remainder after the administration charge will be left as credit on your Art Center Account.

REFUNDS/WITHDRAWAL before last day to withdraw: Refunds are given only by providing written notice of withdrawal before the last day to withdraw. Emails should be sent to Elizabeth@artsarasota.org. Fees will be refunded less the non-refundable deposit.

Last day to withdraw for a refund:

CLASSES/WORKSHOPS (local) - 30 DAYS before first day of class

VISITING ARTIST WORKSHOPS - 60 DAYS before first day of workshop

CAMP – 30 DAYS before camp starts (On or Before May 1st for summer camp)

WITHDRAWAL after last day: Written notice must be given if you need to withdraw from a class/workshop/camp. If written notice is given after the last day to withdraw (see dates above), the class/workshop cost (fee) and the non-refundable deposit will not be refunded.  If there is a wait list for the class/workshop at the time of withdrawal and we are able to fill your spot within 10 days, all fees minus a $35 administration charge will be returned. Art Center Sarasota understands that last minute emergencies, illnesses, or conflicts come up that cannot be controlled. Due to administrative and contract expenses on the part of the Art Center, we are not able to make exceptions.  Art Center Sarasota has binding contracts with instructors that have to be fulfilled.

CAMP: Campers must be 6 years in age or older to attend camp and have completed the first grade. This is not an outdoor activity camp.  The Art Center does not have a playground or organized sports. Most of the camp time is spent indoors creating artwork. We have a no tolerance policy for bullying and campers will be sent home permanently if this occurs repeatedly. No refunds are given for summer camp after May 1.  Camp weeks cannot be prorated.
