Get the basics on flesh tones!  They are not difficult to mix when you understand how red, yellow, and blue work together to create form. Get the basics of form! If you look under the surface of the skin and find the under-lying simplified structure your painting problems become much easier. Get the likeness! Make your initial drawing strong before you start the painting. Let’s do this, let’s have fun with a live model posing the same pose two weeks in succession.

Why is it that we artists can’t seem to “finish” our own work? It is much easier to see the problem in someone else’s painting. Use this class for honest critique by your fellow artists of your work, so that you can put the final touches to your own painting. For Julie’s students who paint “the method”, this is an opportunity for more individual instruction, since the pace of that class is so fast.
Bring in your problems and let’s fix them!   Be Proud!
