		Mission & Vision
		Our Mission Art Center Sarasota promotes the importance of creativity as an essential element of a thriving community. Through innovative and inclusive art exhibitions, art education programs and services Art Center Sarasota connects people as artists, audiences and lifelong learners. Our Vision: Art Center Sarasota plays a vital role in building a stronger community whose economy and the well being of its citizens are invigorated through the arts. The Art Center Sarasota Education Program includes a need for scholarships and expanded studio/classroom space. This is to acknowledge our growing population of talented young people, enthusiastic elderhostelers and the inspirationally challenged of all ages. The Exhibition Program includes dedicated gallery facilities and storage for a permanent collection of artwork from historic and significant Sarasota artists. This would enhance Art Center Sarasota to be a destination point for visitors and cultural students and scholars alike. Our Goal is to add to our endowment and raise funds to build a long needed new facility at our current prime central Sarasota location. The expanded Studio/Classroom and Gallery Space would be part of that overall plan. Our Strategy is to raise funds to enable Art Center Sarasota to find matching funds and inspire other donors. Our Scholarship Plan, in part, is to Invest a portion of the raised funds and use the interest to award scholarships to the challenged individuals who qualify to attend the Workshops or other Art Center educational offerings of their choice.
