CREATIVE KIDS SATURDAYS, Ages 6 - 9

1:00pm-3:30pm

Once a Month (Oct 6, Nov 3, Dec 1, Jan 12, Feb 16, Mar 16) 

Cost: $20 memebers per child per class

$25 Non-members per child per class

All supplies included

20 student maximum please call or pre-register online no later than the Thursday prior to the class date to reserve a seat. 

Each class students will be lead by the teacher in projects focusing on specific mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture and collage.  Art history vocabulary and artists will be discussed.  Students will learn and practice basic art skills such as color mixing, painting with artist paintbrushes and drawing with pencil, marker, pastel and more.

Description:Students will work with String, Liquid Watercolor, Cardboard, Paper and Markers to create unique works of art!

Animal Crackersimage

Teacher: Allison Lehti

Technique: Mixed Media - Paint & Paper

Description: Students will do cracking good mixed media pieces using acrylic paints, decorative papers and stencils to create complimentary colored animals that seem to jump off the paper.

Technique: Collage with Paper and Stamps

Description: Students will create trees adorned with Kandinsky inspired colorful circles and then embellish with various stamps, etc. If time allows they will also create abstract art with primary colors of paint and cut circles.
