inspiration come from?

get you to a creative place?
- How do you infuse
feeling, substance, resonance and great color in your work?

discover your own unique voice as a painter?

your painting is boring, busy, or needs drama, content, excitement,
clean color or a more powerful composition?

correctness or poetry?
- What ten vital
questions do you ask yourself in critiquing your paintings?
- When is a painting
finished?
Participate
in this class for answers to these and other important questions.

Expressive
Arts / Healing and Performing is a process of exercises, improvisation,
and role play designed to loosen the body, unfetter the psyche and
expand consciousness. Have you ever wanted to express
yourself more freely?
Wojtek
Sawa
director, performance/installation artist and educator, conducted the
Liberation Theater workshop at ACS this spring. His work has
been recognized at international festivals and exhibitions. He has
worked with festival winning actors and has conducted workshops for
laypeople. He has a great interest in community involvement
and has begun a process of building a local performance
art/experimental theater. He is currently working on several
installation projects and preparing a series of new workshops.

A
PARTNERSHIP FOR OUR
ENVIRONMENT
ACS is
proud to continue its partner-ship with the Sarasota Conservation
Foundation at Bay Preserve. We have joined forces to celebrate art and
the environment. Once again we're offer-ing plein air classes at the
lovely Bay Preserve at Osprey (see above) as well as a meditative day
retreat. Next season we hope to offer ongoing courses in the historic
Carriage House on this breathtaking bayfront estate. The ACS at Bay
Preserve Initiative aims to generate environmental awareness using the
universal lan-guage of art as a catalyst to promote understanding and
connection to the beauty of, and challenges facing, our native
environment. The fusion of art and environment is a powerful
syner-gistic tool for learning and positive social change.
